Line 31300: Adoption expenses

You'll have an amount on line 31300 is you're claiming eligible adoption exepenses related to the adoption of a child under 18 years of age.

You must enter the basic info about your dependants in the Setting Up/Introduction section of TurboTax before you can enter adoption expense amounts in the Deductions section.

To review and confirm the source amounts of adoption expenses on line 31300:

Select X in the upper-right corner to close the Help window.
In the upper-right corner of your screen, select Find.
In the Find window, type Claims for dependants.
Select Claims for dependants from the list, and select Go.
