Open the NETFILE worksheet.
To find this form, use Form Lookup and enter the keyword NETF.
On the NETFILE Worksheet, enter the total amount of logging tax you paid for the
year (line 53080) and your net logging income for the year (line 53350).
These lines only appear if your province of residence charges a logging tax.
TurboTax calculates the credit and transfers it to Schedule 1 (just below your federal tax on line 45).
Entering the federal logging tax credit (interview)
Claim the federal logging tax credit in the Deduction section of the Interview.
Before you enter this information, first, answer some
questions in the Personal Tax
Profile at the beginning of the interview.
Click DEDUCTIONS & CREDITS in the left-side menu.
Click Continue until you reach the Federal Logging Tax Credit screen.
On the third Personal Tax Profile screen, answer Yes to the
question "are there other deductions such as union or professional dues or alimony that you want to claim?"
Select I paid logging taxes.
Proceed through the interview and complete the Federal Logging Tax Credit screen and enter the required information.
The logging tax credit is calculated and entered below line 40600 on Schedule 1.
