The disability supports deduction includes expenses you paid
for devices and/or services that allowed you to work, run a
business, or attend school. Common expenses include attendant care,
note-taking services, and braille printers.
Most disability supports are also eligible medical expenses.
You can’t claim both - you must choose to claim the expense as
either a medical expense or a disability support deduction.
To review and confirm your disability supports deduction on line
21500:
- Select X in the upper-right corner to close the Help window.
- In the upper-right corner of your screen, select Find.
- In the Find window, type Disability Supports.
- Select Disability Supports from the list, and select Go.
