The version of the EasyStep interview that is provided with TurboTax Self-Employed is called the Business Expert Interview.
This interview is especially geared to self-employed persons and small business owners. It is designed to help you complete your business forms, and offers detailed guidance with your income, expenses, capital cost allowance (CCA), and home office expense calculations.
For example, use the Meals and Entertainment Guide Me to find out exactly what you can claim at 100%, what you can claim at 50%, and what you cannot claim at all. Other Guide Mes cover areas like industry codes, advertising expenses, salaries paid to family members, business-use-of-home expenses, business travel, other expenses, and more.
Using the Business Expert interview is simple. Enter the requested information in the space provided on each screen. When more information is available (such as an advisor) click the button to see more. To exit an advisor and return to the interview, click Skip Advisor.
