Printing your return for your records

After you've filed, it's a good idea to print a copy for your records. A copy of your return comes in handy if you need to amend, apply for a loan, or prepare a return next year.

The PDF that you save for your records contains the full T1 General and all related schedules and forms. It also contains worksheets that the CRA does not require or accept. Do not submit this PDF version to the CRA — it is just for your records.

TurboTax helps you create a separate return that you submit to the CRA.

The return that you mail to the CRA is called a T1 General - Condensed form. This form, introduced in 2012, is designed to reduce the amount of paper sent to the CRA as part of the tax return.

The T1 General - Condensed includes a summary (Form T1-KFS) that contains the amounts from the following forms and schedules:
